A weekly self-help meeting for women recovering from addiction.

Club Edge 2013 Patio Season launch party 9:00 PM : Club Edge, 212 Sparks St.
A party to welcome in patio season. Featuring DJ Jumpin’Jim. Other performers TBA.

Monday, May 20

Victoria Day Volleyball 3:00 PM : Brantwood Park
The weatherman says tomorrow’s outlook is not as grim as today’s so grab some sunscreen and bump a ball around at Brantwood Park’s basketball courts.

Tuesday, May 21

OSPN Community Meeting 6:00 PM : Centretown Community Health Cetnre, 420 Cooper St.
All LGBT seniors are welcome to participate in the Ottawa Senior Pride Netowrk’s community meeting.

Tuesday Run & Coffee 6:30 – 8:00 pm : Ottawa City Hall, Listgar Street entrance
Join Ottawa’s queer running club for an evening run followed by some coffee at the Starbucks by the Elgin Hotel.

Shout Sister! Ottawa Centre 7:00 – 9:00 pm : St. Barnabas Church, 70 James Street
No audition required. Join your sisters to sing some popular tunes and have fun.

Wednesday, May 22

Rideau Speedeaus swim meet 6:00 – 7:00 pm : University of Ottawa, Montpetit Hall, 125 Université Privée
The Rideau Speedeaus’ swim meets happen weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. See website for prices.

AIDS Committee of Ottawa focus group: Health needs of gay men living with HIV 6:00 – 8:00 pm : Aids Committee of Ottawa, 251 Bank St.
If you’re a gay man living with HIV, help improve ACO’s services by attending this focus group. Light refreshments provided.

OSPN presents Mixed Line Dancing 7:00 – 8:00 pm : The Good Companions, 670 Albert Street
Instructor Dave Western, who has been leading Steppin’ Out and Steppin’ Out sisters line dances for LGBT seniors is offering mixed classes. $60 for 8 weeks.

Thursday, May 23

Stroked Ego 3 year anniversary 5:00 – 9:00 pm : Stroked Ego, 224 Bank St.
Help the queer business celebrate 3 years on Bank with snacks and prizes.

Gay ZONE 5:15 – 8:00 pm : Centretown Community Health Centre, 420 Cooper Street
A place for gay men to access healthcare, programs, discussions and yoga!

LGBT Seniors Bowling 6:30 PM : West Park Bowling, 1205 Wellington St.
Ottawa Senior Pride Network’s regular bowling sessions happen every second and fourth Thursday of the month this summer, while lanes are closed on Mondays. $3 per game and free shoe rental.

Shout Sister! Ottawa West 7:00 – 9:00 pm : Woodroffe United Church, 207 Woodroffe Ave.
No audition required. Join your sisters to sing some popular tunes and have fun.

Friday, May 24

Rideau Speedeaus swim meet 6:00 – 7:00 pm : University of Ottawa, Montpetit Hall, 125 Université Privée

Saturday, May 25

Saturday run & breakfast 9:00 – 11:30 am : Ottawa City Hall, Listgar Street entrance
Join Ottawa’s queer running club for a morning run followed by some breakfast at Lieutenant’s Pump.

Eagle Point Winery Wine Event 6:30 – 8:00 pm : After Stonewall, 370 Bank St.
Meet Eagle Point Winery’s winemaker and sample their wines. Private event only open to clientele. RSVP on Facebook or in store.

Words – The Tone Clusters’ anti-bullying concert 7:30 PM : Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington St.
Ottawa’s queer choir partners with school choirs to send a message of hope and support to young people who need it. $18 advance, $20 at the door, free admission to children under 12.

Sunday, May 26

Post Ottawa Marathon race weekend bbq 3:00 – 8:00 pm : See website for location
A celebration for those who particiapted in the marathon with the Frontrunners.

Ottawa Bursleque Festival fundraiser show 8:00 PM : Yuk Yuk’s Ottawa, 292 Elgin St.
Help raise funds for the Ottawa Burlesque Festival set to take place next year by attending a show with many of Ottawa’s burlesque favorites. $10.
