A weekly self-help meeting for women recovering from addiction.

Tuesday, May 14

Tuesday Run & Coffee 6:30 – 8:00 pm : Ottawa City Hall, Listgar Street entrance
Join Ottawa’s queer running club for an evening run followed by some coffee at the Starbucks by the Elgin Hotel.

On Dying – Emotional Issues around death 7:00 – 9:00 pm : The Olde Forge Centre, 2730 Carling Ave.
Part two in the workshop series held by the Ottawa Senior Pride Network’s End of Life Care Choices Committee. Facilitated by Marie Robertson, palliative care and bereavement specialist. Free, but registration is required ans psace is limited.

Shout Sister! Ottawa Centre 7:00 – 9:00 pm : St. Barnabas Church, 70 James Street
No audition required. Join your sisters to sing some popular tunes and have fun.

Preview performance: In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play 8:00 PM : The Gladstone Theatre, 910 Gladstone Ave.
Come to the preview of this sex-positive play by Tony & Pulitzer winner Sarah Rhul. Opens May 15 and continues Tuesday to Sunday at 8pm with Sunday matinees at 3pm. $15 for previews, $39 for regular performances (sliding scale)

Rideau Speedeaus swim meet 6:00 – 7:00 pm : University of Ottawa, Montpetit Hall, 125 Université Privée
The Rideau Speedeaus’ first swim meet in may after a two-week break. Swim meets happen weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. See website for prices.

OSPN presents Mixed Line Dancing 7:00 – 8:00 pm : The Good Companions, 670 Albert Street
Instructor Dave Western, who has been leading Steppin’ Out and Steppin’ Out sisters line dances for LGBT seniors is offering mixed classes. $60 for 8 weeks.

Seniors night out 7:30 – 10:30 pm : Burgers on Main (BOM), 2nd Floor, 343 Somerset Street West
A twice monthly gathering for 50+ LGBT as part of the Seniors Pride network.

Thursday, May 16

Ottawa Frontrunners’ Speed workout 6:30 – 8:00 pm : Ottawa City Hall, Listgar Street entrance
The final speed training session with the frontrunners leading up to the Ottawa Marathon. Runs will be either at Parliament Hill or the track at Immaculata high school, depending on weather.

PSP Women’s Social 5:00 – 7:30 pm : The Buzz Bar & Restaurant, 374 Bank Street
A monthly meeting for the women of Public Service Pride.

Gay ZONE 5:15 – 8:00 pm : Centretown Community Health Centre, 420 Cooper Street
A place for gay men to access healthcare, programs, discussions and yoga!

The Mansfield Brothers present a Vaudelesque Revue! 8:00 pm – 1:00 am : Maxwell’s Bistro and Nightclub, 340 Elgin St
Watch the Mansfield brothers with burlesque performers Mz Kitty DeMure, Charlie Quinn and many more. $15 advance, $20 at the door.

Join PTS for thought-provoking short films, a potluck and a discussion in honour of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

Browncoats Burlesque presents: Comic-KHAAAAAAAAN! 8:00 PM : Zaphod Beeblebrox, 27 York Street
Browncoats Burlesque presents Ottawa’s Nerdlesque Troupe for those of you aching for ComicCon. Sassy Muffin co-MCs.

Saturday, May 18

Off Beat (Strictly Dance) 10:00 – 2:00 pm : Babylon Nightclub, 317 Bank Street
The Queer Mafia presents another fun-filled night of dancing. Featuring DJ Pat Scott and BustedLimb.
